Delete my data
Last updated: 20 September 2026
You can erase your Smarter account and everything attached to it from within the app, in three taps, without writing to us and without giving a reason.
From the app
This is the fastest route, and it is immediate.
- Open the Profile tab.
- Tap « Account ».
- Tap « Delete my account », then confirm.
What disappears, straight away
Deletion is immediate and final. There is no bin, no cooling-off period, and we can restore nothing:
- your account and your sign-in identity, including the link with Google or Facebook;
- your Smarter ID, your language, your age range and your interests;
- your Smart Points, your grade, your reading history and your quiz scores;
- your duels, your revision sessions and your book reviews;
- the notification tokens of all your devices — reminders stop at once.
What remains, and why
Two things survive deletion, and we would rather say so plainly.
- Payment transactions, which accounting requires us to keep. They serve nothing else and are no longer attached to you beyond that obligation.
- Past usage measurements, made anonymous: the row loses every link to you and only counts towards a total. It cannot be traced back to you.
If you no longer have the app
Write to contact@smarter.app from your account's address, or quoting your Smarter ID if you signed in with Google or Facebook. We delete within thirty days, and confirm once it is done.
We will ask you to confirm your identity first: without that precaution, knowing an address would be enough to erase someone else's account.
Signing out erases nothing
Signing out closes the session on that device and stops the notifications meant for it; your account and your progress stay intact and you will find them again when you sign back in. Only deletion erases.
