Do you have any questions?
Does a summary replace the book?
No, and that is not the aim. A summary gives you a book's architecture — its key ideas, in their order — so you know what it says, and whether you want to go in properly. Many of our readers buy the book after the summary, not instead of it.
Where do the summaries come from?
Each one is produced from the full text of the work, then reviewed. The number of ideas is not fixed in advance: it follows a complexity score measured on the text — sentence length, vocabulary density, sheer volume. A lucid essay gets twelve, a monument up to twenty-three.
How does the narration work?
The text is read by a synthetic voice that returns, for every word, the exact moment it is spoken. That is what lets the highlight follow the voice word by word, and a step backwards land on a whole sentence rather than mid-word.
Do I need an account?
Yes. The seven-day trial runs from the date the account was created, so without an account there is no trial to run. The account also carries your favourites, your history and your Smart Points across devices, not the phone.
What happens to what I read?
Your readings, scores and points are attached to your account so they come back at your next sign-in. Text size and reading background stay on the device: those are comfort settings, and nobody reads on a commute the way they read at home.
